Tonight I’m thankful for electricity. We had one of our too-frequent power outages this afternoon, and it was fine until the daylight started to dim and it grew darkish in the house. Then I began to worry that I might be stuck eating a cold sandwich for supper and sitting by myself in a cold, dark house all evening.
So I took the dog for a long walk. Returning home, I could see light from the lamp in the window. Yes! I had a hot supper cooked in a light-filled kitchen. Now I’m watching the news and blogging. Life is good.
Electricity is a good gift from a good God.
thankful for Rebecca for declaring November a month of thanksgiving and inviting us to join her in blogging what we are thankful for and for all of the folks I’ve “met” as a result. As I read through everyone’s entries each day, I am so blessed and my thankfulness grows and grows.
I’m celebrating good gifts from God during the month of November and hoping you’ll be thankful for your good gifts, too. Here’s how you can join in the thanksgiving and even, perhaps, get something material from it. If you’ve posted something you’ve posted something you’ve expected me to include and you don’t see it on the list, please let me know. I do miss things sometimes.
