As I went through my very busy day, here are a few thing I thanked God for:
- rye bread toast for breakfast.
- my wall paper scraping son. The hideous wall paper in the back entry has been up since we bought the house in 1984. I knew getting it off the wall would be a big job—that’s the reason I lived with something so appalling for so long—but now it really has to go. I’m so thankful I don’t have to scrape it off myself, but that my youngest son has offered to do it for me.
- an answer to prayer.
- my golden retreiver. She really is a lovely old girl.
- unexpected company.
- a few good conversations.
- the opportunity to help someone out just a little.
- supper in the crockpot.
- the incarnation. That God the Son would come to us as a human being is mind-boggling. It was our only hope, and God planned it and brought it about for us.
