Ark of the Covenant
The box or chest made of acacia wood covered with gold which the Israelites used to hold the tablets of the Law, along with a pot of manna and Aaron’s rod which had blossomed. It was kept in the Holy of Holies, first in the Tabernacle and later in the Temple.
