Sunday's Hymn: Saviour, Blessed Saviour, Listen While We Sing

Saviour, blessed Saviour,
Listen while we sing;
Hearts and voices raising
Praises to our King:
All we have we offer,
All we hope to be,
Body, soul, and spirit,
All we yield to thee.

Nearer, ever nearer,
Christ we draw to thee,
Deep in adoration
Bending low the knee;
Thou for our redemption
Cam’st on earth to die;
Thou, that we might follow,
Hast gone up on high.

Great and ever greater,
Are thy mercies here;
True and everlasting
Are the glories there,
Where no pain nor sorrow,
Fear nor care, is known,
Where the angel legions
Circle round thy throne.

Higher then, and higher,
Bear the ransomed soul,
Earthly toils forgotten,
Saviour, to its goal;
Where, in joys unthought of,
Saints with angels sing,
Never weary, raising
Praises to their King.

Sunday's Hymn: Jesus, Thy Blood and Righteousness

Jesus, thy blood and righteousness
My beauty are, my glorious dress;
‘Midst flaming worlds, in these arrayed,
With joy shall I lift up my head.

Bold shall I stand in thy great day;
For who aught to my charge shall lay?
Fully absolved through these I am
From sin and fear, from guilt and shame.

When from the dust of death I rise
To claim my mansion in the skies,
Ev’n then this shall be all my plea,
Jesus hath lived, hath died, for me.

Jesus, be endless praise to thee,
Whose boundless mercy hath for me—
For me a full atonement made,
An everlasting ransom paid.

O let the dead now hear thy voice;
Now bid thy banished ones rejoice;
Their beauty this, their glorious dress,
Jesus, thy blood and righteousness.

Sunday's Hymn: I've Found a Friend, O Such a Friend

I’ve found a Friend, O such a Friend!
He loved me ere I knew him;
He drew me with the cords of love,
And thus he bound me to him;
And round my heart still closely twine
Those ties which nought can sever,
For I am his, and he is mine,
For ever and for ever.

I’ve found a Friend, O such a Friend!
He bled, he died to save me;
And not alone the gift of life,
But his own self he gave me!
Nought that I have mine own I’ll call,
I’ll hold it for the Giver,
My heart, my strength, my life, my all
Are his, and his for ever.

I’ve found a Friend, O such a Friend!
All pow’r to him is given,
To guard me on my onward course,
And bring me safe to heaven:
Eternal glory gleams afar,
To nerve my faint endeavor:
So now to watch, to work, to war;
And then to rest for ever.

I’ve found a Friend, O such a Friend!
So kind and true and tender,
So wise a Counselor and Guide,
So mighty a Defender!
From him who loves me now so well
What pow’r my soul can sever?
Shall life or death, shall earth or hell?
No! I am his for ever.
