Thankful Thursday

I’m thankful ahead of time for the Maundy Thursday service I’ll be attending this evening. It’s one of my favorite services of the whole year because it’s so simple and reverent and meaningful.

Looking forward again—and backward, too—I’m thankful that Jesus rose from the dead.

I’m thankful that my son returns home from his trip to Germany and Poland this evening. He’s had fun, he says, but he misses his dog and his little niece. I’m thankful that he had the opportunity to travel, and I’m thankful that he’s anxious to be home, too.

I’m thankful for many more things, many more ways God has provided during this past month or so, things I’m not going to list in public, but I’m recalling them silently as I write. God is good, and I’m thankful for that.

What about you? What are you thankful for?
