What is required in the fourth commandment?

The fourth commandment requires of all men the sanctifying or keeping holy to God such set times as he hath appointed in his word, expressly one whole day in seven; which was the seventh from the beginning of the world to the resurrection of Christ, and the first day of the week ever since, and so to continue to the end of the world; which is the Christian sabbath,[1] and in the New Testament called The Lord’s day.[2]

Gas Up: June 19

June%2013%20gas%20sign

My gas price is the same this week as last, $1.449 per litre.  I suppose I drive less than most of you, so I’m not really hurting….yet.

The plans are to install a new furnace over the summer—if I can find someplace that’s not too busy to do the work—so I hope to save a bunch of money on fuel next winter. The man who came over today to check things out laughed at my king-sized old furnace.  I take it that king-sized, when it comes to home furnaces, is not good.

On the other hand, the price Dorothy pays for gas went down by 1¢ per gallon. She also has posted a run-down of the gas prices in Wisconsin during her trip there last week.

How ‘bout you tell me about your gas prices? Are you making any changes in the way you do things as a result?

My Desktop Photo 12: Swimming Beaver

The dog and I watched one of these not-so-little guys up close and personal on our evening walk a few days ago. He (or she) was half in the river and half on the bank, nibbling on an aspen branch.  The dog and I sat from a few feet away, watching for several minutes, until the dog could stand it no more and let out one little woof. The beaver thought for a minute and then dove under and swam off.
