Thanksgiving 21

I’m thankful for my location. I’m in town—and I like that—but I can walk out the door of my home right into the bush—and I like that, too. I can see mountains from every window. I have a big yard and good neighbours. What more could I ask?

What are you thankful for today?

• Connie is thankful for a certain piano teacher.
• Kim is thankful for her mother-in-law.

• Lisa is thankful for breakfast at Hardee’s.
• Dorothy is thankful for pink. (Me too. I avoided pink for a couple of years in an attempt to up my level of sophistication. It didn’t work and I don’t care anymore anyway.)
• Jodi is thankful for a list of good gifts.
• Kim is thankful for a quiet dinner out with her husband.
• Jenn is thankful for vacation week.
• Becky is thankful that God gave her a brain that can figure out new recipes for her special diet.
• Carla is thankful for her tribe and getting together for Thanksgiving dinner.

I’m thankful for faithful poets—men and women who express their Christian faith in poetry. I’ve already mentioned that I’m thankful for William Cowper, but there’s also George Herbert, Christina Rossetti, John Donne, Elizabeth Barrett Browning and more I’m forgetting.

What are you thankful for today?

• Julana says she needs “to be more thankful for the beds that our son is always tearing up, and are constantly in a state of needing to be made.” She’s also thankful for the freedom to homeschool.
• Elle is thankful for dead bugs.
• Connie is “thankful to God for restoring health after a recent touch of cold/flu in our family!”
