Thanksgiving 8
Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 4:57PM
I’m thankful for God’s Word. I’m thankful that God has spoken and that we can trust his Word to be true forever. I’m thankful that it had the power to transform us. And that I can read and hear it in my language.
What are you thankful for today?.
- Elle is thankful for Christian fellowship.
- Connie is thankful for her church family.
- Kim of Hiraeth is thankful for reconnections.
- Carla is thankful that things aren’t worse than they are.
- Rosemary is thankful for a conversation and a quote.
- Dorothy is thankful for the opportunity to worship freely and openly.
- Lisa is thankful for her church home..
- Suzanne is thankful for “Him, for His creation and for His gift of music.”
- Lisa is thankful for the change of seasons.
Here are three ways you can join in the thanksgiving.
- Mention something you’re thankful for in the comments here and I’ll included it in one of my thanksgiving posts, or
- Email me to tell me what you’re thankful for and I’ll include it in a post, or
- Post your thankful thought(s) on your own blog, send me the link(s), and I’ll link to your post(s). If you plan to make your thanksgiving posts daily during the month, let me know that and you won’t need to send me daily links.
If you’ve got a thanksgiving post and I missed it, please let me know so I can add your link.
Sunday's Hymn
Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 12:56PM For the beauty of the earth
For the glory of the skies,
For the love which from our birth
Over and around us lies.Refrain
Lord of all, to Thee we raise,
This our hymn of grateful praise. For the beauty of each hour,
Of the day and of the night,
Hill and vale, and tree and flower,
Sun and moon, and stars of light. For the joy of ear and eye,
For the heart and mind’s delight,
For the mystic harmony
Linking sense to sound and sight. For the joy of human love,
Brother, sister, parent, child,
Friends on earth and friends above,
For all gentle thoughts and mild. For each perfect gift of Thine,
To our race so freely given,
Graces human and divine,
Flowers of earth and buds of Heaven.
