I’m thankful for a dog that needs to be walked. Things are always better after a good walk in the outdoors, so I’m thankful for a dog who forces me to get some regular outdoor exercise and then adores me for the rest of the day because she had so much fun with me. (This is an old photo. We have snow now.)

Other thankful folk

Doesn’t that list make you thankful, too? Why don’t you participate in being thankful with us? Here’s how:
  • Mention something you’re thankful for in the comments here, and I’ll include it in one of my thanksgiving posts, or
  • Email me to tell me what you’re thankful for and I’ll include it in one of the thankful posts, or
  • You may post your thankful thought(s) on your own blog and send me the link(s), and I’ll link to your post.
  • If you’ve posted something thankful and I missed it, please remind me.

My dog adores me too when I take her for a walk - such a simple way to please them plus good exercise. If I could keep her from rolling in all kinds of yucky things when she's let loose!!

I mean If I could "only" keep her from rolling . . .

I get tired of bathing her.

She will even roll in a dead snake skin - what is up with that?

My dog's like that too. The stinkier it is, the more she loves to roll in it. Civilized, they aren't!

Rebecca,

I'm thankful that you're helping us think thankfully! I've begun posting some items on my site and will continue to do so frequently until Thanksgiving Day.

Hi Rebecca,

My dog, Ivy, likes to roll in smelly stuff--but not the stuff you would expect. She loves lotion and shampoo and perfume. She tries to roll against me if I put lotion on my legs and has tried to roll on top of Sam's head when it is freshly washed.

She's a girly girl.

Your dog is beautiful! I just came in from walking my dog Piper (after John) in the forest perserves near my home. I treasure that time with my buddy and with God.There is something to be said for walking your dog under God's beautful sky! I am so thankful to Him.
