At Least She Eats Her Vegetables

This was youngest son’s first day of college. He’s going to the local one and I’m glad for that. He’s only 17 1/2, and I don’t think he’s really ready fly off to school outside and only come home at Christmas.
He had just one class today and he’s already made up his mind that he’s going to drop it. His explanation for why he can’t take that class? The teacher, he says, is a “vegetarian feminist.”
Okay.
I’m taking bets on whether he’ll make it through college or not.

awesome.
Funny. At least he can spot the professors who MIGHT have another agenda. He will have a hard time dodging liberal professors in college. Maybe a good road trip before college instead. :)
LOL. Love it.
Oh the tales my daughter tells about her teachers at the local college here. There are a few gems in the midst of them but I'm afraid you probably won't be able to graduate by just taking classes from them...
smart son!
You should be very proud of him! I am!
You're so kind to find at least something nice to say about her. :)
I taught English comp for two years at the local university. One of my office mates was a vegetarian feminist. As a co-worker, I appreciated her honesty, intelligence, quick wit, and sense of humor. I liked her. However, as a freshman, I would have found her extremely intimidating, a little overwhelming, and perhaps too confrontational. He has my sympathy. :-)

He sees things in black and white. It's part of being seventeen, I think. He wouldn't be seeing any good qualities as long as there were ones that he didn't like, like an agenda he didn't agree with that she was trying to push.
He switched to another class and that teacher met his approval, so we're good to go.
