Being Thankful on November 16
Yes, it’s cold, but the skies are bright and everything is covered with sparkly white frost. I dress for the weather and I thank God for the splendor of his winter creation.
He gives snow like wool;
he scatters hoarfrost like ashes.
He hurls down his crystals of ice like crumbs;
who can stand before his cold?
(Psalm 147:16-17 ESV)
This is the same spot on the river trail that I photographed in late September. Both seasons are beautiful, aren’t they?
What are you thankful for?
- Willow is thankful for a home untouched by fire.
- Connie is thankful for “the blessing (and freedom) to gather with other saints and listen to God’s Word being faithfully and clearly taught….”
- Liz is thankful for her playlist.
- Tulipgirl is thankful for hot tea for sore throats and more.
- Dorothy is thankful for her friend Julie’s thoughtfulness and Due South.
- Dawn is thankful for God’s peace.
- Suzanne is thankful for “this beautiful sunny Lord’s day….”
- Julana is thankful for her beagle, despite a few bad beagly habits… and more.
- Kim of Hiraeth is thankful for “a sermon that has stayed with me all day long…”
- Beverley Whitehouse is thankful for “the bloggers who share and teach on Christian themes. I love my computer and this is a way I can keep grounded in the Lord.”
Update
- threegirldad is thankful for “family and friends who made November 16 a truly happy birthday.” And belated birthday greetings from me to threegirldad.
I’m celebrating good gifts from God during the month of November and hoping you’ll be thankful for your good gifts, too. Here’s how you can join in the thanksgiving and even, perhaps, get something material from it. If you’ve posted something you’ve posted something you’ve expected me to include and you don’t see it on the list, please let me know. I do miss things sometimes.
