A couple of quick notes about May’s agenda here at Rebecca Writes.

  1. I’m hoping to have another Recipe Round Up, but no one has volunteered to host. Hint.
  2. I want to do an interpretive paraphrase of Romans 8:18-39, which will involve a whole series of posts. The aim of that series is to show one way to do that sort of Bible study. If you want to join in and work along with me, I’d like that. If you want to offer suggestions for how my work might be improved, I think I’d like that, too.
  3. There’ll be no theme for May, then, because I’m going to concentrate on the Romans 8 series.
  4. However, over the summer, I’m planning to post weekly photos of the pricing sign at my neighbourhood gas station so you can see what I pay for gas. It’d be fun if some of you posted periodic prices of gas at the pumps near you, too. If you do, I’d love to have the link to your post so I can link back to you and we can compare prices.
Carry on!

I think I'll enjoy May, then. I'm reading Romans at the moment in my devotions and we're reading it as a family.

Don't know as if I'll be much help with "improving" your work, however.

I think I may participate in the gas price game.

My pastor has said that if he was stranded on a desert island and could only have one chapter of the Bible, he'd pick Romans 8. I agree with him.

My town has more than once received the crown of "cheapest gas is the country." I'll try to play along, but I'm notorious for not paying attention to gas prices. My theory is I have to buy it regardless of the price, so why worry about it? That feeling might change, though, if the prices get as high as they say they will. My father already teases me about being the only person in the country who doesn't know what the price of gas is.

I'll post some petrol/ diesel prices from rural Worcestershire UK.
Also, would you like me to do May's recipe round up?I'm thinking maybe any recipe unique to the part of the world you live in or come from.

Ann,

I'd love it if you hosted the recipe round up, and your idea for it sounds great! Pop me an email, okay?

How about prices on the signs of gas stations that have closed over the years? There are some great prices out there but the service is pretty poor. In fact, after a few minutes of waitng i end up driving away.
