Dog Days of July and August

joey.jpeg

This weekend I’ll be taking care of Joey, the little Schnauzer while her owner goes camping. She’s grown since this photo was taken back in February during another stay with me. She has a new real Schnauzer haircut too, but she still loves that same old chew toy.

After Joey goes home, I’ll get Ned, who is a grand old dog. Ned will be staying for nearly a month.

My dog Taffy loves Ned. Joey? Not so much. It’s hard to love when you’re  green with envy.

Leroy the cat and Joey are very best friends and spend hours each day wrestling and chasing each other. Leroy is never jealous. He knows he’s top dog no matter who’s around.

I don’t have grand kids, so I have to spoil other people’s dogs.

I'll bet Eve and Taffy would get along famously. Taffy might have to yank Ivy into line; she can be a stinker.

I just checked out Leroy. He is quite handsome!

Joey is a cutie I think its sad he doesn't get to go camping. Charlie loves it! Good thing Joey gets spoiled at your house as compensation! I like your philosophy on that when you don't have grandchildren, Rebecca.

Joey would go camping except this time the camping involves an eight hour hike up a big mountain.
