Sarah Palin Gossip and Changes
I chatted yesterday with someone who visited Sarah Palin’s parents last week. He’s an old friend of the family who stops in for coffee when he passes through on his annual trip to Alaska where he used to be a public school teacher. Last night he stayed for supper on his way back to Minnesota. One of the highlights of his trip was spending an evening with Sarah Palin’s very tired but very proud parents and seeing Mr. Heath’s extensive collection of rocks, fossils, antlers and hides.
Okay, so it’s not really gossip, but the title got your attention, didn’t it?
There is new snow in the mountains and frost in the morning, and the push is on to finish up the jobs that need to be done before winter. Two of the new window have been installed, with six more ready to be put in on Saturday. Most of the potatoes are out of the ground and in the basement, but there’s still plenty of yard clean up to do.
Yep, things are changing around here. I’ll be back soon to tell you about a bigger change than the seasonal one.

Ha ha ha. That is hilarious!
I'm envious of your new windows. We need new ones very badly. The one in our family room may as well be heavy duty Saran Wrap in the winter.
"bigger change" ... okay ... I am curious!
and the next post is when?
Sometime today, I hope, as long as I can get my internet connection to be stable long enough to actually post something without timing out.
But you know, the Sarah Palin thing was a big build up for nothing, so I wouldn't hold my breath on the big change news, either. :)
As to windows: Mine were put in in 1948. They still functioned well enough. But as I get older, I'm less and less tolerant of the drafts. So I had pity on me and am replacing them. Fortunately for me, my son works for a company that does window sales and installation, so I get new windows for a fraction of the price. Windows, at least ones that are triple-paned and energy efficient, are very expensive.
Oh, I won't feel so bad then; my windows are about 1964-ish. I'm even afraid to get an estimate.
Did I miss the bigger change?
There's a family who needs prayers. . . .
