Thanksgiving 20
I’m thankful for faithful poets—men and women who express their Christian faith in poetry. I’ve already mentioned that I’m thankful for William Cowper, but there’s also George Herbert, Christina Rossetti, John Donne, Elizabeth Barrett Browning and more I’m forgetting.
What are you thankful for today?
- Julana says she needs “to be more thankful for the beds that our son is always tearing up, and are constantly in a state of needing to be made.” She’s also thankful for the freedom to homeschool.
- Elle is thankful for dead bugs.
- Connie is “thankful to God for restoring health after a recent touch of cold/flu in our family!”
- Kim is thankful for her little town.
- Ann is thankful for expository preaching.
- Lisa is thankful for sharing music.
- Dorothy is thankful for God’s everlasting arms.
- Jodi is thankful for a list of blessings.
- Kim is thankful that it’s Friday!
- Rosemary is thankful that “God is in charge and will provide all our needs.”
- Jenn is thankful for one, two, three blessings.
- Julie is thankful for her daughter, who is turning 9.
- Carla is thankful that she can be a stay-at-home mom.
Here are three ways you can join in the thanksgiving.
- Mention something you’re thankful for in the comments here and I’ll included it in one of my thanksgiving posts, or
- Email me to tell me what you’re thankful for and I’ll include it in a post, or
- Post your thankful thought(s) on your own blog, send me the link(s), and I’ll link to your post(s). If you plan to make your thanksgiving posts daily during the month, let me know that and you won’t need to send me daily links.
If you’ve got a thanksgiving post and I missed it, please let me know so I can add your link.

A poetry book is usually on my Christmas list every year, and this year it's one of George Herber's poems. Maybe if I'm a really good girl, I'll get it...hope, hope, hope.
