Answering the Questions in the Queries
Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 8:03AM
Four questions that showed up in the search queries during the past week:
- perpiscuity?
Do you think the searchers—and there were a few—wanted to know how to spell this word or find out what it means? The answer to both questions can be found here. And without looking, do you know whether these searchers got the spelling right? - what is the only possible value of x when both x plus 5 and x times 5 result in the same answer?
Fortunately for these elementary algebra students googling to take the easy way out on their homework, algebra is one thing I haven’t forgotten. Here’s how I would solve this problem:
5x = x + 5
5x - x = 5
4x = 5
x = 5/4 - headless chicken lifespan?
I am just never going to get away from this one, am I? The answer is that the lifespan of a headless chicken is indefinite, unless there is an untimely choking incident. - what does the resurrection mean to believers?
I’m thinking there are two possible ways to take this question. Is the word resurrection refering to Christ’s resurrection or the believer’s own resurrection? If it’ referring to Christ’s resurrection, then we’re good to go.
