Oh! Snow!!
We've had a warm autumn. Still sleeping with the windows open and haven't used the furnace yet. But, crazy as it sounds, I'd be excited if we had snow. (I'm ALWAYS excited for the first snow)
Is that like mixing your metaphors?
The calendar says end of October, but the thermometer here says end of April. And a couple of weeks ago, it was more like middle of October/middle of June(!)

Yes, if I had to deal with as much snow as you do, I'm sure that I wouldn't be nearly as anxious. :-)
