My Place 17
This photo was taken at 10:09 AM—just a couple of minutes after our official sunrise time—and at -33C.1 As you can see, we already have quite a bit of snow, too.
I’ve been whining for the last week that I’m ready for spring. I’m becoming a weather wimp, I guess. It’s December in the Yukon. What do I expect?
At least the sky is clear, so the 5½ hours of daylight will amount to something.
1That’s -27F, for those of you who are metric impaired.

Oh my, that brings back memories of Saskatchewan!! Keep warm!
Even here in Iowa winter days seem gloomy. I keep lotsa lights on in the house. The energy-saving variety. And I don't feel guilty.
Brrr....
The light in that pic is so beautiful, Rebecca!
Here in the North but not as far North as you Rebecca, we've set a record in snow to an almost 40 year high so says my wife Gail. I thank God that we personally did not experience Gail winds but I'll keep our 40 year marriage out of "IT" if you know what I mean? Go Figure! :)
Merry Christmas
God Bless Peace
Oh, that's lovely! And thank you for the translation; I'm among the metric impaired.
Boy, that's cold! You need some hot chocolate with marshmallows! That was an easy segue, wasn't it?
How beautiful! We are getting a ton of snow here today too, only it's 32 degrees. -27 is mind numbing! We had those temps when we lived in the Rockies...brrrrr!
Keep warm!
wow Rebecca-you are a true pioneer woman-but with only 51/2 hours of daylight you must surely be suffering SAD! The older I get the less cold I can stand-but it is beautiful. We are having a cold December here in Delaware-but I have shut my mouth and refuse to complain-it's all so relative.
