Round the Sphere Again: The Saturday Fun Edition

Creamy
Name Campbell’s eight main cream soups in three minutes. I missed two, and I was never gonna get them in a million years. I’ll tell you which ones I missed in the first comment below, but don’t peek until you’ve finished the quiz yourself, okay? And while you’re down there in the comments, tell me how you did (mental_floss Blog).

Cool
Because every kid should play with their food.

Cute
Back in January I tweeted a link to a live cam where you could see (and hear) a mama black bear giving birth to twin cubs. The babies have grown, the family has left the den, and mama wants the cubs to come with her as she forages for food for herself, but they’re not cooperating.

These twins have a tighter bond than most bear cubs, say the researchers. As you can see, they love to play with each other.

I missed cream of shrimp (ick!) and cream of onion.

I missed asparagus and shrimp. I don't like asparagus in any context, I can't fathom eating it in a cream soup. The shrimp might work in certain recipes. Maybe.

I missed asparagus and onion. I can't imagine how awful a canned cream of asparagus soup would taste.

The bears were very cute. I was relieved when they finally followed their mama. My son will love watching this.

I've never heard of the two I missed.

Sorry I don't tweet Becky. It's ironic when I'm a birder.

A group of swan can be a "ballet", "bevy", "drift", "regatta"
or "school". I like drift when they're feeding or sleeping and
regatta when they're majestically flying.

Regatta is a great word for flying swans. Thanks Judy.

I'm a dyed-in-the-wool seafood lover, but I wouldn't try Cream of Shrimp in a million years. I don't remember ever noticing it on the shelves.
