114. Q. What is the second petition [in the Lord’s Prayer]?
          A. “Thy kingdom come.”

115. Q. What do we pray for in the second petition?
          A. That the gospel may be preached in all the world, and believed and obeyed by us and all men.

  •  Your kingdom come,
    your will be done,
    on earth as it is in heaven.
  •  And he said to them, “When you pray, say:
    “Father, hallowed be your name.
    Your kingdom come.
  • Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20] teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
  • I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, [21] that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
  • But when they believed Philip as he preached good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
