Thankful Thursday
Watching the winter weather caused suffering in the rest of North America makes me thankful for our January weather, which has been quite warm. I’m thankful that January’s almost over, too, because once we make it to the end of January, we probably won’t get any really cold weather (like -40°).
I’m thankful that the flood in the library at church (caused by our long January thaw) only damaged a couple of books that were in a box on the floor. I’m thankful that the floor and carpet seem to be drying, albeit slowly. I’m thankful that in the 25 year in this church building, this is the first time the library has flooded.
I’m thankful for my baby grandson, who will turn one soon. I’m thankful he’s growing and developing—and getting cuter each day.
I’m thankful for a beautiful new butcher block countertop.
I’m thankful for new mercies each morning, for grace sufficient for every day’s troubles.
