Sunday's Hymn: Reader's Choice
We’re letting Lisa J pick the hymn for this Sunday. I’m happy to feature this one because not only is it one of her favorites, it’s one of my dad’s favorite hymns, too.
Man of Sorrows! what a name
For the Son of God, who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
In my place condemned He stood;
Sealed my pardon with His blood.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!Guilty, vile, and helpless we;
Spotless Lamb of God was He;
“Full atonement!” can it be?
Hallelujah! What a Savior!Lifted up was He to die;
“It is finished!” was His cry;
Now in Heav’n exalted high.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!When He comes, our glorious King,
All His ransomed home to bring,
Then anew His song we’ll sing:
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
—-Philip P. Bliss (Listen.)

Thanks for picking this hymn! I love to sing it in a really large group and hear all of the voices together exalt Christ! A tiny foretaste of heaven.

LOVELY SITE! I WOULD LIKE TO ENHANCE OUR UNDERSTANDING OF SCRIPTURE. WE HAVE HEARD ABOUT 'CODES' IN THE BIBLE, BUT HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO VERIFY THEM FOR OURSELVES. YES, THERE 'ARE CODES' THAT WE CAN READ RIGHT OUT OF OUR OWN BIBLES, THAT TELL OF THE INTEGRITY AND TRUTH OF THE SCRIPTURES. WE MUST ALL BE "CHOSEN"BY GOD (EPH.1:4);"CALLED" BY THE SPIRIT (ROM. 8:28-30); AND FINALLY "ENABLED" BY CHRIST HIMSELF (1 TIM. 1:12) TO BELIEVE! VISIT: http:quadcode.blogspot.com
Christianity
In the home it is kindness
In the business it is honesty
In society it is courtesy
In work it is fairness
Toward the unfortunate it is sympathy
Toward the weak it is help
Toward the wicked it is resistance
Toward the strong it is trust
Toward the penitent it is forgiveness
Toward the successful it is congratulation
And toward God it is revference and obedience.
