Excruciatingly Slow

You’d think I had a dial-up connection, the way mine’s been acting over the last couple of days. Posting the Sunday hymn yesterday was painful. I thought I might post this week’s question from the WLC today, but linking to each verse in the proofs is proving that I am not as patient as I had previously assumed.

So let’s do a fall photo instead, assuming of course, that I can even upload one.

Aha! It worked. Eventually.

This is Lake Labarge, the location, we’re told, of the cremation of Sam McGee. If you don’t have a clue what I’m talking about, here is a link to a YouTube video of a rather interesting (slow, but not excurciatingly so) recitation of the Robert Service poem.

If it is this beautiful - forget the internet - take a field trip and lots of pictures! Enjoy the lovely weather!
(but not for too long - ok?) :)

I have been hiking and cranberry picking.

Yesterday we got snow on the mountains, which makes it even more beautiful. But it also means winter is just around the corner. It was -1 this morning--our first real frost.

Love the pic. Love the idea of wilderness and cranberry picking...not too excited about winter though.

It never occurred to me that there was a real Lake Labarge (it sounds like something just made up to rhyme with 'marge'!).

Yep, and there was a real Sam McGee, too. He was, however, from Ontario. I should post a photo of his cabin.

And the derelict is real too, although it was the Olive May, not the Alice May.

This morning (Thursday) we got up to 50' - cannot believe the huge temperature change. But you had -1 -wow - that's crazy!

But you had -1 -wow - that's crazy!

Not for us. And -1 is around 30 in your temps. :)

What a beautiful picture. Copied it to my desk top. Keep up the good work!
Has finally cooled down-today was so clear could see the ocean from high up in Altadena.
Will spend tomorrow at the county fair. Love to see the animals. Never any bears tho.
We have a family of Deer that walk down from the mountains looking for water. So far haven't crossed Foothill Blvd-but, who knows. I love to watch them-as do all the neighbors.
Have you read "Redeeming Love?" It's a retelling of the biblical story of Hosea and Gomer in an ;1800's setting. Was written by Francine Rivers.

I hope you had fun. I haven't read "Redeeming Love."

I had got a desire to begin my own business, however I did not have enough of cash to do this. Thank heaven my dude advised to use the www.lowest-rate-loans.com. Hence I took the small business loan and made real my dream.
