This Week in Housekeeping

This week I’ve updated these Theological Term of the Week posts:

anthropopathism

  • Added a link to Divine Impassibility: Why Is It Suffering? by Paul Helm. This link was kindly suggested to me by David Elliot. He gave me more leads as well, but I haven’t read them yet. (You know, don’t you, that I read or listen before I link?)

Appolinarianism

  • No changes made, but I’d really like to have more links than the three I have. Got any leads for me?

I'm not sure it's in a form anywhere on line very handy for linking, but Calvin has a good, short explanation (in a couple of sentences) of why Apollinarianism can't be right in Institutes Bk II Chapter XVI (based in part on the cry from the Cross). Perhaps someone somewhere would have a sermon along the same lines, even if they don't explicitly mention the label?

Thanks Brandon. I'll look into that.

Henry Beveridge's translation of Institutes is available at Google Books.

{sigh}

That's a link to Book I, Chapter XVI. Sorry about that. This should be the correct one (knock on wood).
